Copy the materials folder of the variant that you chose and paste it in your csgo directory, which is usually located here: C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo
Get Notepad++ and open up the pak01_dir file in your csgo directory. Click Search once you've opened up Notepad++.
Find these lines and change them to the provided edited lines.
$baseTexture "models\weapons\v_models\pist_elite\m9a1" to--> $baseTexture "models\weapons\v_models\pist_elite\m9a2"
$baseTexture "models\weapons\w_models\w_pist_elite\m9a1" to--> $baseTexture "models\weapons\w_models\w_pist_elite\m9a2"
